GPRS Wireless Modem (Included with TML)
 The
TML software package comes with a MultiModem® GPRS
External Wireless Modem.
This allows the software to receive and send text messages. The modem connects
to the PC via an included USB cable. An activated wireless GSM
SIM card is required and not included with the package. Cingular is
an approvel wireless GSM card provider. We recommend using T-Mobile since
they offer an unlimited text messaging plan. Please contact
us for more info about setting up an account
in your local area.
Computer-to-Video Scan Converter (Not inlcuded
with TML)
 We
strongly recommend the purchase of a scan converter like the CS-450
Eclipse. This hardware adds the following features to your system (see Figure
1 below):
Genlock and Overlay - This feature allows you to
lay the TML VMU screen over live video. The CS-450 allows you to control tranparency
so the live video is visible behind the VMU text. The video keys on the color
black. Live video input options are Composite and S-Video.
Pass through for second monitor - To properly
administer TML at an event run IMU on monitor one and VMU on monitor two. Most
laptops come with a VGA output connection that allows you to add a second monitor.
Connect the VGA output from your PC to the VGA input on the CS-450
then conenct the VGA output from the CS-450 to your second monitor.
Various input and output conenctions - Most
computers do not have a composite or s-video output. The composite output on
the CS-450 allows you to send the VMU output to your projector or video screen.

Video Input Adapter (Not inlcuded with TML)
 TML allows you to add live video panels to VMU. To get live video
into your computer we recommend the KWorld
DVD Maker USB 2.0 adapter. This hardware allows
you to capture s-video or composite video inputs through your
PCs USB port.

 TML
allows you to add live video panels to VMU. To get live video into your computer
we recommend the Dazzle
DVD Recorder adapter. This hardware allows you to capture s-video
or composite video inputs through your PCs USB port.

 Video Distribution Amplifier (Not inlcuded with TML)
If your laptop allows you to send the second monitor video output through
an S-Video port - use a video distribution amplifier to split the signal
and feed it to your VMU preview monitor and possible video output targets. See
Figure 2.
